Campus Steam Outage Information
Each year Facilities Management 和 安全 will use an annual steam outage to allow for repairs to the steam system on campus. This outage will shut down the steam across the entire campus so that technicians can safely repair the steam system. We will announce the dates for the steam outages in advanced time to allow for the campus to prepare 和 be aware of the outage.

2024 Outage Dates: May 12, 2024——2024年5月24日
During the above dates, the entire campus will be without steam. In some buildings there may be temperature variations depending upon their system capabilities. 另外, any special equipment relying on steam to function will be inoperable (for example, some autoclaves are reliant upon steam).

newbb电子平台’s Facilities Management 和 安全 has scheduled a series of widespread electrical outages on the 雅典 Campus to allow for improvements to the campus electrical distribution system.
The intent of these efforts is to provide an opportunity to perform preventative maintenance, upgrade equipment in the main electric substation 和 allow for the new HCOM Academic Facility 和 Chilled Water Plant 3 to be added to the University’s electric distribution system. The dates for the outages are provided below 和 have been carefully scheduled during non-business hours adjacent to major academic breaks to minimize impact to the newbb电子平台 community. Read More

Campus Recycling 和 the Office of Sustainability are two departments in partnership with the Appalachia Ohio Zero Waste Initiative (AOZWI), a longst和ing project supported by the local Sugar Bush Foundation, who are dedicated to the prevention of pollution 和 improvement of waste management in 雅典. These are a few of the projects going on in this effort, as well as the people behind them.
